Arsenal are reportedly favourites over Chelsea to sign West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice this summer.
The England international has been with the Hammers throughout his playing career, but he is expected to move on.
He could be sold for £70-80m this summer and The Guardian claim that the Gunners are front-runners to sign him.
Rice has his sights on playing Champions League football next term but he is also keen on continuing in London.
Realistically, this makes the Gunners as the best possible destination as Chelsea and Spurs are presently out of the top four.
Spurs are just outside of the Champions League places but the Blues are currently 10 points behind and lying ninth in the table.
Rice has spoken about a possible reunion with Chelsea in the past but they may not even be playing in Europe next term.
Hence, Arsenal look to be favourites to land the 24-year-old but Chelsea can’t be underestimated with their financial firepower.
